Quite a few of my clients have come to me with these issues. Like many others, you may be feeling angry, confused, scared, or not sure what to do. Keeping secrets may have become a major focus of your life. I'm sure you may feel Society has placed a huge burden on you because of your choices. I will work with you to become liberated from these burdens.
When people come to me for help on this topic one of their major concerns is the shame they feel about their choices. To them there seems to be no way to overcome the pressure that Society has placed on them. Another is that I will judge them like Society does. This is natural because they are continually bombarded by this message everyday.
You have nothing to feel ashamed about. I consider the choice you have made to be just another aspect of your personality, like the career you choose. The clients that have worked with me on these issues are now comfortable with the choices they made. One client even introduces me to people as the one who really helped him when we run into each other in public. While you may not be comfortable doing something like that, just know that I am comfortable with you.
