therapy
Many people think that therapy is for people that are mentally ill. Certainly that is one of the reasons people go to therapy. However, there are many everyday problems and issues that people face where therapy can help them as well. Also, there are people that are not quite sure what therapy is and what happens during a therapy session. This is mainly because traditionally there has been such a stigma around therapy.

According to research,
the most important thing to help people is the relationship that develops between the client and the therapist during the therapy sessions. It is this "container" that provides the most benefit for an individual in therapy. During therapy it's very important to be able to trust your therapist. The things that you'll talk about during a session will be some of the most private and sensitive things that can be talked about. Remember everything that is said during a session is completely confidential. What you share with your therapist does not have to be shared with anyone else. There are only a few situations where a therapist might have to break that confidentiality.

I offer three different session lengths
30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes. The session you choose will be dependent upon what you're trying to accomplish. Typically, during therapy we would meet either weekly or biweekly.
